Rockhounding

Tyler has been on week long furloughs once a month at work, so he has taken up a new hobby of rockhounding. Here are some samples of flourite which is used as a flux in working with metal.







See what happens to flourite when you put a black light on it (below). Pretty neat! You should see this with a black light while still in the mine (amazing!)
Here is one of the geodes he picked up with Chad on a Friday as they explored the West deserts with an old time rockhound. They found secret places which they are not allowed to tell about, or so they say ;-)
